Pre-Convention Thoughts - Dokidokon 2017

Uh-oh, I'm getting those pre-convention jitters! I'm even more jittery because my hometown of Kalamazoo, MI will be hosting its first ever (in my memory) anime convention! At the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, Dokidokon shall run as Kalamazoo's premier anime convention! Being on it's first year as a convention, I'm excited to see how many people are going to be there, how big it is going to be, and even the events that they will have planned! It being a smaller convention however, I really do not feel like it will be large with that many in attendance nor will the venue be the right size for the amount of people. I haven't been able to look at the schedule or the map yet, but I feel like it may not be as well-organized as some cons that I have been to. Also, the Four Points Sheraton is a bit out of the way here in Kalamazoo, so that may have something to do with the attendance of people, either hometown or from different cities. Also, how about the celebrities; how would they be able to get them to come to a new con? Regardless of whether or not my concerns come to fruition, I always like to be optimistic about the cons I go to, but I have never actually attended a 'first-ever' convention. It should be okay, because I'm still a bit bias (being from Kalamazoo) and have a belief that it'll be a great convention! I am blessed and honored to be a part of Dokidokon's 'first-time' (phrasing) and I hope that I enjoy the convention more than what I originally expected it to be and even more! That'll be all from me, and I'll do my best to update you guys on how the weekend goes!

With thanks,
